| NEC2 Surface plot. Antenna is virtually omni-directional. Comparing my 75 meter Off Center Fed dipole (horiztonally polarized) - the loop always has a noise floor that is +15dB higher. So far signals from Europe appear stronger on the loop - but not by 15dB over the OCF. This usually means the S/N ratio for receiving is worse on the loop over the OCF. |
